Tiny Rebel

Key Master is a playful, sensory-rich Foreign Extra Stout that balances traditional dark British beer characteristics with whimsical adjuncts. A deep ebony pour reveals intense aromas of dark chocolate and roasted coffee, layered with distinct notes of buttery toffee and toasted popcorn. The palate is dominated by rich, roasted grains and a decadent toffee sweetness that avoids being cloying thanks to a firm hop bitterness. Subtle nutty undertones from the popcorn emerge mid-sip, finishing with a lingering, moderately dry roast character that maintains the robust integrity of the style.

Appearance. 35-40 SRM. Opaque, very deep brown to black. Large, dense, tan head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent dark chocolate and roasted coffee roast character. Notable sweet toffee aromatics layered with a subtle, buttery popcorn scent. Low fruity esters of dried plum and a faint earthy hop presence.

Taste. Initial impression of burnt grain and bittersweet chocolate. The mid-palate features a clear toffee sweetness and savory, toasted popcorn notes. Medium-high bitterness balances the specialty sugars. Finishes moderately dry with a lingering roasted coffee aftertaste and a touch of caramel sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle prickle. Subtle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
