Apricity is a nuanced Extra Special Bitter that captures the comforting essence of winter sunlight. It presents a robust malt backbone characterized by distinctive toasted notes of hazelnut and a subtle, refined suggestion of roasted coffee, providing depth without heaviness. This richness is countered by a structured bitterness and traditional English hop accents that lean toward earthy and floral tones. The fermentation produces a light bouquet of dried fruit esters, rounding out the profile. Balanced and highly approachable, this Strong Bitter finishes with a clean dryness, making its moderate strength remarkably drinkable while maintaining a sophisticated, layered character.

Appearance. Deep amber to copper in color with brilliant clarity. It pours with a moderate, creamy off-white head that demonstrates good retention and leaves delicate lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high malt aroma featuring toasted bread, caramel, and a distinct nuttiness. Hop character is moderate, leaning toward earthy and floral notes. Very low esters of red apple or pear are present, with no diacetyl.

Taste. Initial impression of rich, bready malt followed by layers of toasted nuts and a faint, bitter coffee roastiness. Hop flavor is moderate and earthy. Bitterness is firm but perfectly balanced against the malt sweetness, leading to a medium-dry finish with a lingering toasty aftertaste.
