This Hazy Session IPA delivers an expressive aromatic punch driven by the singular use of Simcoe hops. At a sessionable strength, it presents a layered bouquet of bright passion fruit, earthy pine, and subtle berry notes. The soft, pillowy texture characteristic of the hazy style provides a plush canvas for the hops to shine without overwhelming the palate. A delicate foundation of grainy pale malt provides just enough support to ensure balance, leading into a crisp, refreshing finish. It is a modern, hop-forward interpretation that prioritizes drinkability and vibrant tropical fruit intensity over aggressive bitterness.
Appearance. Luminous straw to pale gold (3-5 SRM). Distinctly hazy with a dense, long-lasting white head that leaves intricate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent Simcoe characteristics: passion fruit, resinous pine, and hints of ripe grapefruit. Low, clean, grainy malt sweetness in the background. Clean fermentation profile with very light, supportive stone fruit esters.
Taste. An initial burst of tropical fruit and pine resin dominates the palate. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a clean, cracker-like base. Hop bitterness is moderate and smooth, purposefully restrained compared to traditional versions. The finish is medium-dry and refreshing, with a lingering citrus and evergreen aftertaste.
