This decadent Imperial Porter offers a lavish sensory journey, shaped by twenty-four months of aging in Rye barrels. The nose is greeted by an intense convergence of dulce de leche sweetness and the savory, earthy depth of toasted walnuts. On the palate, the spicy, peppery influence of the rye wood balances a rich base of chocolate and dark malts. High-quality vanilla beans provide a silky bridge between the decadent caramel notes and a subtle touch of salt that sharpens the finish. Dense and warming at 13.5% ABV, it presents a sophisticated profile where salt and sweetness intertwine seamlessly.

Appearance. Very dark brown to opaque black (40 SRM). Thick, creamy, tan-colored head with moderate retention and significant oily lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich dulce de leche and toasted walnuts over a complex malt base of chocolate and light coffee. Spicy rye barrel notes, charred oak, and fragrant vanilla beans with subtle dark fruit esters.

Taste. Sweet initial impression of creamy caramel and vanilla. Moderately strong roasted malt flavor with a chocolatey core. Earthy walnut and a distinct salty-sweet character are prominent. Moderate bitterness is well-balanced by high residual sugars. Lingering finish of spicy rye and oak.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a luxurious, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-low. There is a prominent, well-integrated alcohol warmth from the extended barrel aging. Very low astringency.
