This vibrant Wild Specialty Beer offers an immersive tropical experience, bursting with the vivid profiles of Mango, Orange, and Passion Fruit. The aroma is a bright collision of sun-ripened stone fruit and zesty citrus, underscored by a complex, funky acidity characteristic of wild fermentation. On the palate, the succulent sweetness of Mango is quickly balanced by the sharp, electric tartness of Passion Fruit and a pithy Orange finish. Despite its 6.8% ABV, the beer remains refreshing with a crisp dryness and high carbonation, allowing the exotic fruit character to linger with a pleasantly puckering afterglow.
Appearance. Pours a hazy, glowing apricot to deep orange hue (SRM 7-10) with a thin, frothy white head that exhibits moderate to poor retention. Slight fruit sediment may be present, contributing to an opaque, pulpy appearance.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh mango and tangy passionfruit dominate the nose. A sharp lactic tartness provides a bright backdrop for citrus orange zest and a faint, earthy wild yeast funk. No hop aroma or significant malt character is present.
Taste. Initial impression is an assertive, clean lactic sourness followed by a wave of tropical fruit. The natural sweetness of mango is immediately balanced by the sharp, electric acidity of passionfruit and pithy orange notes. The finish is remarkably dry and crisp with a lingering tartness and a light fruit-skin tannin; hop bitterness is very low and barely perceived.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a prickly, high carbonation that enhances the tart sensation. A gentle alcohol warmth is noticeable, complemented by a slight fruit-derived astringency that dries out the palate.
