This original 2002 formulation delivers an aggressive, unwavering hop profile dominated by resinous pine and sharp citrus zest. Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring heavy resin, dank pine, and bright grapefruit rind. The malt character is very low and neutral, presenting a slight crackery note, while the fermentation profile is clean with a whisper of alcohol.

Taste. A massive explosion of hop flavor mirrors the aroma with pithy citrus and earthy pine. The bitterness is very high and assertive, yet clean rather than harsh. A minimal, supportive malt presence yields to a bone-dry, crisp finish where the bitterness lingers long into the aftertaste.
