A Stout a porter szárazabb, sötétebb, testesebb erősebb leszármazottja. Színben nagyon hasonlóak, a stoutokban azonban sokkal több a karamellizált pörkölt maláta és a kávés ízvilág, valamint édeskésebbek is. A stout szó első ismert használata egy 1677-ben keltezett, az Egerton Manuscripts-ban talált dokumentumban, amely a sör erősségére utal. 1721-ben használták először a porter nevet egy pörkölt malátával készült sötétbarna sör leírására. A porterek hatalmas népszerűsége miatt a sörfőzők többféle erősségben készítették őket. Az erősebb, jellemzően 7 vagy 8 %-os alkoholtartalmú söröket ""stout porter""-nek nevezték, így a stout és a porter története és fejlődése összefonódott.

This year’s Xocoveza Imperial Stout is inspired by a Tres Leches cake – traditionally made with three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk and cream. Combined with Xocoveza’s chocolate and warming spice blend, this is a decadent treat for the colder months.

Made from all that’s good about the holidays, Stone Xocoveza is brewed with chocolate, coffee, Pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. At the pop of the can, the aroma is intense – cinnamon and spice upfront with lingering coffee, caramel, and sweet vanilla. It is a lively blend of flavors. Sweet spices are balanced with rich and creamy chocolate. Mild roast coffee flavor shines through and vanilla enhances the intense combination. Pasilla peppers impart a light hint of heat in the finale. With all that complexity, the beer is surprisingly bright on the palate, with just a touch of the residual sweetness that all the decadent flavors imply. Con el estallido de la lata, el aroma es intenso: canela y especias al principio con café persistente, caramelo y vainilla dulce. Es una mezcla viva de sabores. Las especias dulces se equilibran con un chocolate rico y cremoso. El sabor suave del café tostado brilla a través y la vainilla realza la combinación intensa.
