Imperial IPA 10.5 º
This Triple IPA commands attention with an explosive sensory profile that pushes the boundaries of a Double IPA. Intensely aromatic, it radiates high-intensity notes of overripe tropical fruit, resinous pine, and zesty citrus peel, supported by a clean, neutral grain-forward malt base. Despite its potent 10.5% strength, the experience remains remarkably drinkable, avoiding heavy caramel sweetness in favor of a dry, crisp finish. The palate is dominated by a firm, persistent bitterness that lingers alongside vibrant hop oils. Smooth alcohol warmth integrates seamlessly, enhancing the bold fruit esters and providing a sophisticated, warming character suited for a slow-sipping, intensely hopped strong ale.
Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (SRM 7-12). Moderate, persistent off-white head with fine lacing. Generally clear, though a light, modern hop haze is acceptable.
Aroma. Intense hop presence featuring prominent tropical fruit, resinous pine, and bright citrus. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt background. Clean fermentation profile with moderate, smooth alcohol notes; no solventy harshness.
Taste. Massive hop flavor mirroring the aroma with citrus and stone fruit dominance. High, clean bitterness that provides a sharp structural backbone without being astringent. Malt is supportive and neutral, offering a soft grainy foundation. Finishes dry and crisp with a long-lasting, bitter, and hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium to medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. Notable but well-restrained alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without heat.
