Soma Take Off is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a sophisticated blend of Nelson, Pacifica, and Citra hops. It opens with an intense aromatic profile of white wine grapes and crushed gooseberries from the Nelson, layered with bright orange marmalade and zesty lime citrus courtesy of Pacifica and Citra. The sensory experience is defined by a plush, velvety body that carries deep flavors of mango and passionfruit. A restrained bitterness allows the hop oils to shine, resulting in a remarkably juicy character. This expression finishes soft and off-dry, with a lingering tropical sweetness that emphasizes its modern hop-forward design.

Appearance. SRM 4-6, straw-gold color with a characteristic hazy, opaque glow. Topped with a dense, meringue-like white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves thick lacing.

Aroma. High-intensity hop-forward aroma. Dominated by tropical passionfruit, mango, and a distinct vinous white grape character. Complementary notes of zesty grapefruit and sweet citrus peel are present. Background malt is neutral and lightly bready, with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of juicy tropical fruit. Strong flavors of gooseberry and grape merge with citrus marmalade. Malt flavor is low, providing a simple bready foundation for the Nelson, Pacifica, and Citra hops. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate, well-integrated and never harsh. Finishes off-dry with a clean, fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to the smooth mouthfeel. Very light alcohol warmth may be present, but it remains well-integrated and non-astringent.
