Imperial IPA 9.1 º
Celebrate a milestone with this potent Double IPA, a sensory showcase of Enigma, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops. The aroma erupts with a complex blend of tropical passionfruit and ripe blueberry, underscored by a sophisticated layer of red currant and resinous pine. On the palate, the hop intensity is profound, delivering waves of melon and stone fruit supported by a lean, neutral malt backbone that ensures high drinkability despite its strength. A firm, clean bitterness balances the subtle alcohol warmth, leading to a crisp, dry finish that lingers with a refreshing herbal and citrus character.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (7–10 SRM). Thick, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing. Slight haze is present, typical of modern heavily dry-hopped versions.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma. Prominent tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit) and berry notes from Mosaic and Enigma. Clean, resinous pine from Simcoe follows. Background malt is neutral and grainy. No solventy alcohol.
Taste. Bold hop flavors of pineapple, blueberry, and spicy resin. Moderately high bitterness that is firm but smooth. Minimal caramel sweetness; malt serves as a soft, clean platform. Finishes very dry with a lingering citrus zest and pine aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Medium carbonation. Notable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness or astringency.
