Tuning the Wind is a luminous Hazy IPA that serves as a vibrant showcase for the distinctive Riwaka hop. It pours a glowing, opaque straw-gold topped with a dense, meringue-like white head. The sensory profile is headlined by a pungent explosion of New Zealand terroir, delivering intense aromas of pink grapefruit, passion fruit, and zesty lime. On the palate, the mouthfeel is remarkably soft and plush, carrying a lush wave of tropical fruit and stone fruit flavors. A delicate, bready malt backbone provides a neutral canvas for the massive hop saturation, finishing smooth and off-dry with a lingering, juicy citrus character.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (4–6 SRM). Opaque haze with a brilliant shine; no visible particulates. Massive, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pungent pink grapefruit, passion fruit, and citrus zest from the Riwaka hops. Subtle stone fruit esters and a clean, neutral, lightly bready malt background. No caramel, toast, or DMS.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant grapefruit and tropical notes. Low to medium-high bitterness that feels soft and integrated. Low grainy-bready malt flavor. The finish is off-dry to medium, characterized by a smooth, juicy aftertaste without hop harshness or burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft, and silky texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth from the 7.1% ABV. Entirely free of astringency or raw starchiness.
