This Hazy IPA, crafted in collaboration with Põhjala, presents a lush, sensory profile driven by a diverse hop bill and a velvety oat cream base. The whirlpool addition of Citra and Idaho 7 establishes a foundation of grapefruit and stone fruit. A massive New Zealand dry hop featuring Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Rakau elevates the experience with vibrant aromas of pineapple, papaya, and peach, accompanied by a subtle crushed-grape nuance. The malt structure provides a creamy, sweet foundation that softens the moderate bitterness, resulting in a smooth delivery that highlights the tropical complexity and fresh citrus zing.
Appearance. Color is a deep straw to light amber (approx. 5-6 SRM); opaque with a characteristic hazy shine. Supports a medium, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring layers of grapefruit, pineapple, and papaya. Distinctive notes of peach and white grape emerge alongside a clean, bready, and lightly sweet malt character. Fermentation esters are fruity and supportive without being phenolic.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant peach, lime, and tropical fruit. The malt flavor is low to medium, presenting a bready sweetness enhanced by the creamy oat base. Perceived bitterness is mild to moderate but feels soft and well-integrated. The finish is smooth and off-dry, lingering with a pleasant citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess from the oat addition. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a soft, plush texture with no harshness or hop burn; alcohol warmth is subtle and well-integrated.
