The aroma is intensely pomaceous, showing ripe skins and earthy undertones. While labeled dry, a subtle residual sweetness balances the firm, drying tannins, creating a crisp and harmonious finish. It avoids the harshness of bone-dry examples, instead offering a nuanced, medium-bodied experience where the complex, vinous complexity of the English orchard fruit remains the primary focus throughout.
