This Imperial Stout presents an opulent sensory journey, shaped by a 24 to 40-month maturation in Willett Bourbon and VSOP Cognac barrels. The aroma is dominated by an explosive bouquet of vanilla beans from Sri Lanka and Tanzania, offering a unique nutmeg and eggnog-like warmth. Deep, round layers of bourbon-soaked oak intermingle with the roasty, bittersweet chocolate foundations of the O.W.K. and Vibes base recipes. On the palate, the intricate barrel character provides a vinous Cognac elegance and dark fruit depth, harmonizing with the intense, creamy vanilla for a luxurious, lingering finish.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40+). Dense, deep tan head with low retention and prominent legs reflecting its high viscosity and alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity with an explosive vanilla profile of nutmeg and cream. Deep roasted malt layers of espresso and dark chocolate are complemented by vinous Cognac and caramel-heavy bourbon notes, with underlying esters of dried figs and prunes.

Taste. Initial impression of decadent vanilla and bittersweet chocolate. The mid-palate reveals complex barrel-aged character, featuring toasted oak, bourbon sweetness, and dark fruit from the Cognac. Medium-high bitterness provides balance against the rich malt profile, finishing with a lingering warmth and black licorice.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, chewy, and luscious with a velvety texture. Low carbonation and a smooth, significant alcoholic warmth that is well-integrated despite the high ABV.
