Septem Microbrewery Lava presents as a powerful, intensified American Amber Ale, defined by a deep coppery hue and a complex interplay of high-octane warmth and pungent hops. The aromatic profile is dominated by the unique, lemon-zest and dill notes of Sorachi Ace, complemented by the lime and tropical brightness of Motueca and the floral-citrus backbone of Centennial. A robust, toasted caramel malt base provides a sturdy foundation for the 9% alcohol presence, which lends a noticeable, well-integrated warmth. The palate balance leans toward a firm, herbal bitterness that cuts through the initial malty sweetness, culminating in a dry, slightly herbaceous, and lingering finish.

Appearance. Deep copper to mahogany (15-18 SRM); thick, off-white head with excellent retention; clear with a slight garnet shimmer.

Aroma. High intensity; toasted bread and rich caramel malt; distinct lemon peel and dill (Sorachi Ace) alongside lime zest (Motueca) and floral-pine (Centennial); moderate fruity esters with a hint of grainy yeast.

Taste. Initial malty sweetness and toasted grain with a faint, slightly tart edge; assertive hop flavors of lime, lemon, and crushed herbs; high bitterness; dry finish with lingering herbal notes and a subtle peppery alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body; moderate carbonation; noticeable alcohol warmth; smooth texture without astringency.
