This Hazy IPA offers a sophisticated bouquet led by the distinct Nelson Sauvin hop, delivering elegant notes of dry white wine and crushed gooseberry. The double dry hopping process integrates Motueka and Talus, introducing layers of bright lime zest and a unique hint of tropical coconut. Its luminous, straw-colored body supports a soft, bready malt foundation, ensuring the hops remain the focus. The experience is incredibly juicy, balancing a gentle, pillowy mouthfeel with a restrained bitterness that highlights the complex fruit character. Appearance. Luminous straw to light gold (4 SRM) with a dense, meringue-like white head that shows excellent retention and fine lacing. Uniformly hazy with a radiant, opaque glow, free of any visible hop particulates or sediment.
Aroma. High intensity of fruit-forward hop aromatics. Prominent notes of white wine grapes and gooseberry from Nelson Sauvin are complemented by fresh lime zest and a subtle, creamy coconut undertone. Low, bready malt provides a neutral background, while fermentation esters are cleanly integrated with the tropical hop profile.
Taste. An immediate burst of tropical and pomaceous fruit flavors. Vibrant lime and grape dominate the palate, followed by a soft, grainy malt sweetness. The bitterness is low-medium and exceptionally smooth, never harsh. A subtle coconut flavor emerges mid-palate, leading into a juicy, off-dry finish with lingering notes of tropical fruit and citrus.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, mouth-coating sensation without being viscous. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated at 6.8% ABV, with no astringency.
