Resin Rush is a vibrant American IPA that balances classic West Coast intensity with modern precision. A collaboration between Salikatt and Rivington, it delivers an assertive bouquet of citrus and pungent forest floor. The hop bill featuring Centennial, Columbus, Amarillo, Cascade, and Simcoe creates a multi-layered sensory experience where bright grapefruit notes collide with deep, sticky resin and cooling pine. Light gold and refreshingly crisp, the beer leads with a firm, clean bitterness that highlights the piney Simcoe and spicy Columbus character. A dry, lean malt profile ensures the bold hop oils remain the focus through a long, resinous finish.
Appearance. Light gold to pale amber (approx. 7 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma. Prominent notes of pine needles, resin, and damp earth from Columbus and Simcoe. Bright citrus layers of grapefruit zest and orange peel follow from Cascade and Amarillo, with a floral Centennial lift. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt provides a subtle background.
Taste. Punchy and hop-forward, showcasing a complex profile of resinous pine, zesty lemon, and grapefruit. Medium-high bitterness is clean and sharp. Low malt flavors suggest cracker and light bread crust. The fermentation is neutral, allowing the Simcoe and Columbus resin to dominate the palate. Finish is very dry and refreshingly bitter with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp, scrubbing effect on the palate. A subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but never harsh.
