This Belgian Golden Strong Ale presents a complex and sophisticated sensory profile characterized by its remarkable effervescence and sparkling wine-like quality. The aroma is led by vibrant esters of green apple and lemon zest, supported by delicate floral and spicy hop notes. A soft pilsner malt base provides a gentle initial sweetness that quickly gives way to a peppery yeast character and a dry, spirit-like finish. The 7.6% alcohol is well-integrated but provides a noticeable, warming presence from the first sip, while the intense carbonation delivers a lively, stinging sensation on the palate that cleanses the finish.

Appearance. Pale gold (4–6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a massive, long-lasting, rocky white head that leaves intricate Belgian lacing as it slowly recedes.

Aroma. High intensity fruity esters of pear, green apple, and citrus zest. Moderate herbal and floral hop notes are present, complemented by a light peppery phenol character and a soft, grainy-sweet malt background. A faint nutty note is discernible as it warms.

Taste. Initial soft malt sweetness transitions into flavors of crisp pome fruit and lemon peel. Medium-low herbal hop bitterness and a peppery alcohol character balance the profile. The finish is remarkably dry and clean, with a lingering, spirited warmth and a faint spiciness in the aftertaste.
