Ridgeway Hamster of Doom is a modern brown ale from Oxfordshire’s Ridgeway Brewing. Ridgeway Brewing is named after The Ridgeway, Britain’s oldest road. A trade route used since prehistoric times by tradesmen, herdsmen and soldiers, The Ridgeway provided access to the Dorset coast in the south and the coast of Norfolk to the east. Hamster of Doom is a modern take on a classic brown ale. The beer retains its malty character, with an injection of classic English hops to add an extra dimension to the beer. Pouring a chestnut brown colour, Ridgeway Hamster of Doom offers up toasted aromas on the nose. The flavour of caramel and roasted malt mingles with grassy English hop flavours, drawing to a dry finish.
