The Sherry contribution introduces nuances of dried figs, walnuts, and a vinous oxidation, while the Cognac adds elegant grape brandy, toasted oak, and a smooth vanilla finish. The high alcohol content provides a gentle, well-integrated warmth that supports the velvety, full-bodied texture. It concludes with a complex, lingering aftertaste of bittersweet cocoa and refined spirit character, showcasing a harmonious balance between roast and barrel-derived sweetness.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Pours with a dense, dark tan to mocha-colored head with moderate retention. High viscosity is evident by prominent legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity and deeply complex. Dominant aromas of bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and charred oak. Secondary notes of dried fruits—raisins, prunes, and figs—are amplified by Sherry influence. Distinctive Cognac notes bring floral grape brandy, vanilla, and caramel. Hop aroma is negligible.

Taste. Explosive initial impression of dark chocolate and espresso roast. The mid-palate reveals layers of nuttiness and dark fruit from the Sherry barrels, alongside Cognac-driven spice and toasted oak.
