PINTA Hazy Discovery Tokyo
This Hazy IPA, a collaboration with Uchu Brewing, presents an intense bouquet of tropical and white fruits. The Krush hops lead the sensory profile, offering a complex blend of stone fruit and guava, while Nelson Sauvin adds distinctive notes of crushed white grapes and gooseberry. Citra and Simcoe round out the experience with vibrant layers of passion fruit, mango, and a hint of resinous pine. Beneath this hop-forward intensity, a soft, bready malt base provides a supportive, pillowy structure. The result is a lush, juicy experience with a smooth finish and a refined, restrained bitterness that emphasizes extreme drinkability and modern hop depth.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous shine. Crowning the beer is a thick, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring ripe mango, passion fruit, and guava, complemented by elegant white wine and gooseberry notes. Background hints of citrus peel and subtle pine. Malt is low, presenting as neutral grain and fresh flour. Fermentation esters are fruity and well-integrated.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit juice. High hop flavors of peach, pineapple, and white grape dominate. Malt flavor is low, providing a soft, bready foundation without caramel or toast. Bitterness is low to medium-low and soft. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering fruit-skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and plush texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth is present. Free of any astringency or raw starchiness.
