Nova Runda Temporary Overload
This Double IPA delivers a saturated hop profile, living up to its name through a vigorous double dry-hopping regimen. The strategic interplay of Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic hops creates a layered sensory experience characterized by intense passion fruit, sharp citrus zest, and ripe forest berries. Supported by a lean, neutral malt backbone that stays in the background, the pungent hop intensity remains the absolute focus. A firm bitterness balances the 8% alcohol strength, ensuring high drinkability while maintaining a clean, resinous finish. It is a vibrant showcase of modern New World hop character and aromatic depth.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing. Generally clear, though a very slight hop haze is present due to heavy dry-hopping.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring dominant tropical fruit notes of passion fruit and pineapple from Galaxy, bright grapefruit and lime from Citra, and a complex berry and stone fruit undertone from Mosaic. Background malt is clean and minimally grainy; fermentation is neutral with a very light, smooth alcohol note.
Taste. Initial impression is a powerful burst of tropical and citrus fruit flavors. High hop bitterness is firm but not harsh, supported by a low, soft malt character that lacks heavy caramel. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste of pine and citrus peel. Complexity is high, showing distinct hop layers throughout the palate.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crispness that aids drinkability. A restrained, pleasant alcohol warmth is noticeable but well-integrated, with no astringency.
