Last year we released a beer as part of our Culinary Concepts Patrons Project series with the Northern sandwich master himself, @itssandwichking.
BUT we couldn’t let his reign end there.
By royal decree, today we announce our 49th Patrons Project with Christopher Gribben – aka Sandwich King. Each beer in the series will either be a concept that can be used in one of Sandwich King’s immense recipes, or pair perfectly with it.
Being a YouTube diehard, he grew up watching American cooking videos. And a staple of the US sarnie scene is no doubt the Philly Cheesesteak.
This 5% DDH pale ale is hopped with El Dorado, Ekuanot and Talus for big flavours of grapefruit, tangerine and lime. The King used this very beer to make the crispy beer-battered onion rings that he loads into this absolute monster of a sandwich.
