This Belgian Golden Strong Ale presents a vibrant sensory profile that balances traditional yeast character with a modern fruit addition. The aroma is defined by a high intensity of fruity esters, specifically pear and the infusion of fresh peach puree, complemented by subtle honey esters from the classic yeast strain. Despite a complex malt bill, the beer remains deceptively light and effervescent. On the palate, the stone fruit notes merge seamlessly with peppery phenols and a delicate herbal hop backbone. It concludes with a crisp, long, and dry finish, where the sparkling carbonation accentuates a sophisticated floral elegance and a well-integrated alcohol warmth.
Appearance. Deep gold (5–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with persistent effervescence. Massive, long-lasting rocky white head that leaves dense, characteristic Belgian lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity bouquet of fruity esters, notably pear and ripe peach puree. Subtle honey-like yeast notes and peppery phenols. Low herbal and floral hop character over a nearly neutral, slightly grainy-sweet malt base.
Taste. Initial impression of stone fruit and pear, followed by soft grainy malt and peppery alcohol. Moderate bitterness (approx. 25–30 IBU) is accentuated by the high attenuation. The peach puree and honey esters carry through into a long, very dry finish with a lingering herbal hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, appearing lighter than its gravity suggests due to high carbonation. Effervescent and crisp on the tongue. Smooth, soft alcohol warmth without any solventy harshness.
