Nøgne Ø’s Julequad is a decadent Belgian Dark Strong Ale that captures the festive spirit through a deep, warming profile. Dominated by a complex malt architecture, it offers intense notes of dark caramel, toasted bread, and burnt sugar. The signature Belgian yeast strain contributes a lush tapestry of dark fruits—reminiscent of sun-dried raisins, plums, and figs—interwoven with subtle peppery phenols and a hint of vanilla. At 12% ABV, the alcohol provides a smooth, refined warmth that balances the initial malt sweetness.
