This Double IPA is a sensory escalation, offering a decadently saturated hop profile with a signature silky texture. Intense aromas of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright tangerine erupt from the glass, driven by massive additions of Citra and Mosaic hops. The palate follows with a lush, velvety mouthfeel that carries deep flavors of resinous pine and pink grapefruit. While the 9% ABV provides a refined warmth, the malt remains clean and supportive, allowing a sharp, lingering bitterness to define the finish. It is a bold, modern interpretation that prioritizes high hop impact without sacrificing a dangerously smooth drinkability.
Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange with a significant, persistent white head. Displays a uniform, deliberate haze that contributes to the visual perception of its heavy hopping and silky composition.
Aroma. High intensity hop aromatics featuring prominent notes of tropical fruit, blueberry, and citrus zest. A clean, neutral, cracker-like maltiness sits far in the background, accompanied by a very light, clean alcohol note and low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is dominated by a complex array of hop flavors including resinous pine, tropical stone fruit, and grapefruit pith. Bitterness is high but smooth, avoiding harshness. It possesses a soft, supportive malt character and finishes medium-dry with a long, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and silky texture. Carbonation is moderate. A smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, enhancing the beer's substantial feel without any hop-derived astringency.
