Showtime is a vibrant Double IPA that serves as a sensory stage for premium New Zealand hops. The intensive double dry hopping process delivers an assertive aromatic performance of white grape and tart gooseberry, seamlessly integrated with zesty lime and tropical passion fruit. While its hop character is undeniably intense, the beer maintains high drinkability through a clean, neutral malt profile that avoids heavy caramel or toast. This modern interpretation balances firm bitterness with a bright, fruit-forward complexity, ensuring the Kiwi hops remain the star from the initial aromatic burst to the crisp, dry finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (7-9 SRM) with a slight, modern haze from extensive dry-hopping. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent New World characteristics of white grape, gooseberry, and lime zest. A supportive, neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background, complemented by moderate passion fruit notes and a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of lime, passion fruit, and white grape lead the palate. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth, supported by a low, soft malt character. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and citrusy aftertaste, lacking any harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture and no hop-derived astringency. Carbonation is medium-high, and the 7% alcohol provides a very restrained, smooth warmth.
