Nerdbrewing’s Extends Oak Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout - Carrot Cake Ed. is a decadent exploration of pastry-inspired complexity. A viscous, jet-black Imperial Stout, it opens with a fragrant bouquet of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger, layered over rich vanilla and the sweet, earthy depth of carrot juice. The addition of lactose and flaked oatmeal provides a velvety, dessert-like mouthfeel that carries intense notes of dark chocolate and toasted malt. Aging on bourbon oak introduces sophisticated ribbons of charred wood and coconut, while the high alcohol provides a warming embrace that balances the spiced sweetness through a lingering, luxurious finish.
Appearance.Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Crowned by a dense, dark tan head with moderate retention; high viscosity is evident by thick legs clinging to the glass.

The mid-palate features heavy-roasted grain, baker's chocolate, and a unique vegetal sweetness from the carrot juice. Hop bitterness is moderate but restrained by the high residual sugar.
