This decadent Imperial Sweet Stout offers a lush sensory experience centered on its dessert-like composition. The pour reveals a viscous, obsidian-dark liquid topped with a persistent tan head. Aromas of Ugandan vanilla provide a creamy, floral sweetness that integrates seamlessly with the roasted depth of El Arco coffee from Cantook Micro Torréfaction. On the palate, the El Arco coffee introduces notes of red fruit and toasted nuts, balancing the intense vanilla bean presence. The malt profile is rich with dark chocolate and caramel, leading to a full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel. Despite its high alcohol content, the warmth is well-integrated, concluding in a long, sweet, and comforting finish.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to jet black (40+ SRM). Crowned by a dense, creamy, mocha-colored head with excellent retention and thick, oily lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant Ugandan vanilla notes offer a rich, perfume-like sweetness. Significant roasted malt character reminiscent of dark chocolate and espresso is further enhanced by the El Arco coffee. Very low earthy hop aroma. Esters are subtle, suggesting dried dark fruits like raisins.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely sweet and rich. Prominent vanilla bean flavors meld with dark cocoa and sweet cream. The El Arco coffee provides a sophisticated roasted layer with hints of dark berry. Malt flavors include toasted bread crust and heavy caramel. Hop bitterness is low to moderate, ensuring the balance remains firmly on the sweet side. The finish is lingering and decadent, with the coffee and vanilla providing a harmonious dessert character.

Mouthfeel. Full and viscous body with a creamy, unctuous texture. Carbonation is moderate-low, enhancing the beer's weight. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without being harsh or fusel. No astringency from the coffee or dark malts.
