This Double IPA showcases a vibrant Southern Hemisphere hop profile, led by the intense citrus and lime zest of Motueka and Mega Motueka. Kohia Nelson introduces deep passion fruit and tropical complexity, while NZ Cascade adds a refined floral and grapefruit finish. The inclusion of Miel (honey) lends a subtle, floral sweetness that supports the high alcohol strength without adding heavy body, keeping the profile deceptively drinkable. Its aromatic profile is saturated with tropical melon and lime, supported by a lean malt backbone. The result is a powerfully bitter yet balanced strong ale with a clean, lingering hop-focused finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Persistent, moderate-sized off-white head with good lacing. Slight haze is present, common in heavily dry-hopped modern versions.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by prominent lime, mojito, and crushed tropical fruit from the Motueka and Mega Motueka. Kohia Nelson adds a distinct passion fruit note, while NZ Cascade provides floral and citrus grapefruit layers. A faint, floral sweetness from the Miel is evident, backed by a neutral, grainy malt character and clean fermentation.

Taste. Punchy hop flavors of lime zest, tropical passion fruit, and white grape dominate. Bitterness is high and firm but remains smooth without harshness. The Miel provides a light mid-palate sweetness that helps balance the high bitterness before fading into a dry, crisp finish. Malt character is minimal and supportive. The aftertaste is long and resinous with lingering citrus peel.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively prickle. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is noticeable but lacks any solventy heat. Low hop-derived astringency.
