Nano Cinco Bièrofil is a vibrant New England IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile led by Citra and the distinctive Nelson Sauvin. This expression leans heavily into the unique character of Nelson Sauvin, utilizing T90, Cryo, and Amplifire formats to provide a multi-dimensional punch of crushed Sauvignon Blanc grapes and tropical passion fruit. The presence of Citra adds a complementary layer of bright citrus zest and sweet mango. It pours with a classic hazy glow, offering a soft, pillowy texture that carries intense hop oils across the palate. The finish remains smooth and refreshing, emphasizing fruit saturation over aggressive bitterness.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque haze that gives the beer a luminous glow. It supports a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent notes of white wine grapes, gooseberry, and passion fruit from the Nelson Sauvin. Citra adds layers of grapefruit, lime, and mango. The malt profile is low, providing a neutral, bready, and grainy background without any toast or caramel character.
Taste. Explosive fruity hop flavor echoing the aroma with dominant passion fruit, Sauvignon Blanc grape, and citrus zest. The malt flavor is low but provides a soft, bready cushion for the hops. Bitterness is medium-low and smooth, never harsh. The fermentation profile is clean and supportive, leading to an off-dry, juicy finish with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with the 6.8% ABV, and no perceived astringency or hop burn.
