Conflation is a monumental Black Barleywine that bridges the gap between a robust English Barleywine and a decadent Imperial Stout. This 26-month barrel-aged blend delivers a profound sensory experience, defined by its extended rest in Eagle Rare, Stagg Jr, and Weller bourbon barrels. The aroma is saturated with rich toffee, dark chocolate, and a sophisticated bourbon spirit character, accented by a whisper of smoke. On the palate, the deep malt complexity of the base provides an initial hit of flavor that transitions into a velvety finish of Brazilian vanilla and oak. Its viscous, chewy texture reflects its high gravity, offering a warming, multi-layered sipper with lingering sweetness.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to black in color (SRM 40+), featuring dark ruby highlights at the edges. It pours with a thin, dark tan head that exhibits low retention, leaving a viscous film and prominent legs on the glass.
