An opulent and deeply indulgent Imperial Stout, shaped by fourteen months of maturation in Barbados rum barrels. The sensory profile opens with an intense wave of dark chocolate, black molasses, and rich espresso, layered seamlessly with sweet vanilla, toasted coconut, and spicy, oak-forward dark rum. Jet-black and exceptionally viscous, this beer coats the palate with a velvety richness, balancing deep-roasted malts against complex dried fruit esters of dark plum and fig. Warmth from the Barbados rum is present but brilliantly integrated, leading to a long, bittersweet finish of dark cocoa and caramelized brown sugar.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40 SRM). Pours with a dense, deep tan head of moderate retention that leaves thick, persistent lacing, accompanied by noticeable legs due to high alcohol and viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich, deep aromas of bittersweet chocolate, dark roasted coffee, and molasses blend with prominent Barbados rum character, exhibiting notes of sweet vanilla, toasted oak, coconut, and dark caramelized sugar. Moderate dark fruit esters of prune, fig, and raisin are accompanied by a smooth, spirit-like alcohol warmth.

Taste. Intensely rich and complex initial impression. Dominant flavors of dark-roast espresso, dark cocoa, and black molasses are balanced by a medium-high hop and roast bitterness. The 14-month barrel aging introduces layered flavors of caramelized sugar, vanilla, and oak tannins. Smooth, warming rum notes and esters of dried plums and black cherries carry into a long, lingering, bittersweet finish.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious, and coating texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, pleasant, and prominent alcohol warmth is present, devoid of any hot or solventy character.
