MadX Frigga is a decadent Melomel that marries the lush sweetness of honey with the bright, jammy essence of strawberries. At 13% ABV, it presents a complex tapestry of maturation, having spent time in both red wine and Tokaji barrels. The red wine influence introduces structured tannins and dark berry undertones, while the Tokaji barrel contributes elegant notes of apricot and noble rot. This interplay results in a rich, multi-layered profile where the fruit remains vibrant against a backdrop of honeyed depth and sophisticated oak character, culminating in a warming, luxurious finish.

Appearance. Deep ruby-amber with distinct pinkish highlights; brilliant clarity with high viscosity and heavy legs; still with no foam or lacing.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant honey aroma with floral and nectar-like qualities; secondary notes of ripe, jammy strawberries. The barrel influence adds complex layers of vanilla, toasted oak, dried apricot from the Tokaji, and a subtle vinous character reminiscent of red berries.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely sweet and honey-forward, immediately followed by juicy strawberry flavors. The mid-palate reveals complex wood-derived notes of spice and vanilla.
