This Double IPA presents a vibrant sensory profile defined by an aggressive dry-hop regimen of Amarillo, Citra, and Galaxy. Despite its brilliant clarity and a more approachable bitterness compared to its predecessors, the aromatic intensity is high, bursting with layers of overripe passion fruit, zesty grapefruit, and floral orange blossoms. The palate follows suit, offering a clean, lean malt foundation that allows the tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors to shine. A refined, dry finish ensures high drinkability despite its strength, while a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth rounds out the experience, making it a punchy yet balanced expression of modern hopping techniques.
Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (6-9 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a moderate-sized, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, citrus zest, and floral orange from the Amarillo, Citra, and Galaxy hops. Background malt is neutral and grainy with a very clean fermentation profile and a hint of smooth alcohol.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors dominated by mango, lime, and resinous pine. Low, supportive, and clean malt character without caramel sweetness. Bitterness is moderately high and firm but remains smooth and non-astringent. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy and citrusy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing bite. Noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth is present, devoid of any harshness or solvent notes.
