This Imperial Stout presents a profound sensory experience, defined by an intense infusion of Robusta coffee beans. The nose is greeted by a robust, earthy coffee profile, layered over the deep, charred grain and dark chocolate of the base beer. Fourteen months of aging in oak imparts a sophisticated bourbon-forward character, weaving threads of vanilla, toasted coconut, and rich caramel into the dark malt tapestry. The palate is exceptionally full-bodied and viscous, delivering a harmonious blend of espresso bitterness and warming spirituous notes. It concludes with a long, refined finish of wood-derived tannins and lingering roasted coffee.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (40+ SRM). A thick, creamy tan to dark brown head with moderate retention and fine lacing; an oily sheen from the coffee beans is present on the surface.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant earthy, nutty, and darkly roasted Robusta coffee notes. Strong bourbon-forward character featuring vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak. Rich malt base of dark chocolate, cocoa, and molasses with subtle dark fruit esters like plum.

Taste. Rich, dark roasted malt and bitter espresso lead the palate. Mid-palate reveals bourbon-soaked oak, vanilla, and toffee complexity. Bitterness is firm and balanced by the high residual sugar. The finish is long and warming with lingering notes of dark chocolate, charred wood, and earthy coffee.

Mouthfeel. Full, viscous, and velvety body. Carbonation is low. Significant alcohol warmth is present but smooth and well-integrated. Slight oak-derived astringency provides structure to the creamy, syrupy texture.
