Ravage presents as a quintessential Hazy IPA, defined by a vibrant and saturated hop profile. The use of Citra provides an assertive foundation of sweet mango, passionfruit, and bright grapefruit, while the addition of Motueka introduces a distinctive, zesty lime character reminiscent of a fresh mojito. Together, these hops create a dense, tropical bouquet over a soft, bready malt base. The experience is remarkably smooth, offering a lush, juice-like intensity with minimal bitterness and a clean, fruity finish. At 6.8% ABV, it maintains a refreshing drinkability while delivering a complex, modern hop expression that highlights the synergy between American and New Zealand hop varieties.
Appearance. Straw to pale orange with a dense, opaque haze that imparts a luminous shine. Topped with a persistent, meringue-like white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring dominant notes of crushed lime zest, ripe mango, and lychee. Subtle bready, grainy malt and neutral fermentation esters support the hop aromatics without competing. No caramel or toast character is present.
Taste. Explodes with tropical fruit flavors; lime, pineapple, and citrus pith are prominent from the Citra and Motueka hops. Low to medium-low bitterness provides just enough structure against a soft, bready malt background. Finish is off-dry and saturated with lingering fruit juice impressions, free of any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristically soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation enhances the smoothness without any harshness or astringency. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
