This Double IPA is an intense hop showcase featuring the biotransformative synergy of Phantasm and Aromazyme. Nelson Sauvin leads the charge with striking sensory cues of crushed white grapes, gooseberry, and passionfruit, while Mosaic provides a foundational layer of blueberry and resinous pine. The advanced use of Cryo and SubZero Kief hop technologies ensures a saturated, oily depth without vegetal harshness. Gold-hued and remarkably dry, it balances its 8% strength with a lean malt profile, finishing with a persistent, clean bitterness and a lingering thiol-driven tropicality that exemplifies the cutting edge of the style.
Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper with a moderate-sized, persistent white head. Displays good clarity, though a very slight hop-derived haze is present due to heavy dry-hopping.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent white grape, gooseberry, and tropical passionfruit from Nelson Sauvin, alongside Mosaic's notes of blueberry and citrus. A supportive, neutral, grainy maltiness sits in the background with a light, clean alcohol presence and moderate tropical esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of vinous white wine and tropical fruit. Hop flavors of mango, berry, and pine are complex and forward. Bitterness is high but smooth and well-integrated. Malt character is low, clean, and soft, leading to a very dry finish with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high. Features a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth and no harsh hop-derived astringency.
