Overhead is a focused Double IPA that highlights an intense hop presence against a lean malt backbone. Built upon imported Pilsner malt and light crystal malts, the beer maintains a dry, crisp finish that allows the hop profile to dominate. Columbus and Simcoe provide a firm, resinous bitterness, while late additions and double dry-hopping with Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoe explode with layers of pine and bright citrus. The sensory experience is defined by its clean fermentation and high drinkability, delivering a cascade of classic American hop character that lingers with a refined, bitter punch and light, smooth alcohol warmth.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (7-9 SRM) with good clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, white to off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High to intense hop aroma featuring bright citrus, resinous pine, and floral notes. A low, clean, grainy-sweet malt character from the Pilsner base sits in the background. Fermentation is neutral with a very light, clean alcohol presence and minimal fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a punch of hop flavor featuring grapefruit, orange peel, and damp pine. Very high bitterness from Columbus and Simcoe additions is firm but clean, never harsh. The malt flavor is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, bready support. The finish is dry and crisp with a long, lingering resinous and citrusy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A light, restrained alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, lacking any harsh solvent notes or astringency.
