Jungle Juice Brewing
This effervescent Straight Sour Beer delivers a sharp, refreshing profile driven by a clean lactic acidity. The sensory experience is led by the intense, tropical punch of passion fruit, which provides a bright tartness. Complementing the fruit, zesty notes of fresh ginger provide a spicy lift, while subtle hints of cinnamon add a light, woody warmth to the background. Built on a delicate base of crackery pale malt, the beer remains crisp and light. The finish is bone-dry and invigorating, leaving a lingering impression of exotic fruit and a soft, spicy tingle on the tongue.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3-4 SRM) with a slight haze from fruit and spice additions. Large, white, dense head with moderate to poor retention and high effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity lactic sourness is immediately apparent, coupled with the sharp, tropical aroma of fresh passion fruit. The ginger provides a notable zesty spice, while cinnamon offers a faint, warm, woody undertone. Pale malt is low, appearing as light cracker or dough.
Taste. Clean, sharp lactic sourness dominates the initial impression, followed quickly by tart passion fruit flavor. Mid-palate reveals a refreshing ginger heat and a dry spice character from the cinnamon. Hop bitterness is undetectable, allowing the acidity to provide balance. Pale malt is very light and crackery. The finish is bone-dry and crisp.
Mouthfeel. Light body with high carbonation that creates a prickly, refreshing sensation. Notable crisp acidity with a very slight, pleasant spice-derived astringency and no alcohol warmth.
