Style: Barleywine style ale aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on almonds, tiger nuts, cinnamon, and vanilla

Description: Brewed in the English barleywine tradition and aged in bourbon barrels for 19 months, Horchata Bourbon Barrel Brick Kiln’s treatment on heaps of adjuncts lends tremendous notes of its namesake beverage along side rich notes of toffee and marzipan. Extended aging in bourbon barrels adds deep notes of vanilla and oak to the beer, named in tribute to the Southeast Ohio brick industry. The kilns of Athens Brick Company, established in 1890, once operated down the street from our current production brewery.

Brewed in the English barleywine tradition and aged in rye barrels for 17 months, Rye Barrel Brick Kiln’s deep mahogany hue gives way to aromas of toasted sugar, almond, and coconut. Extended aging in rye barrels adds deep notes of warm baking spices, bright pecan, and toasted rye bread to the beer, named in tribute to the Southeast Ohio brick industry. The kilns of Athens Brick Company, established in 1890, once operated down the street from our current production brewery.
