This refreshing International Pale Lager from Icarus Brewing elevates the Japanese-style rice lager template with a vibrant infusion of East Asian botanicals. The clean, crisp base allows the bright, zesty aromatics of Yuzu Zest and Calamansi Orange to shine, providing a sharp, citrus-forward profile. Subtle, elegant floral notes from the Jasmine Green Tea provide a sophisticated aromatic layer, intertwining with a lean, crackery malt backbone. On the palate, the beer is exceptionally dry and effervescent, balancing tart citrus acidity with a delicate tea-tannin structure and a neutral fermentation finish, making for a highly quenchable experience.

Appearance. Pale straw (2-3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a thin but lively white head that dissipates to a fine collar; minimal lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of fresh citrus, dominated by sharp calamansi and lime-like yuzu zest. Secondary notes of floral jasmine and herbal green tea follow. Clean fermentation profile with a very low, sweet-grainy rice character and no diacetyl.

Taste. Initial impression is bright and citrus-driven with tart calamansi flavors. The mid-palate reveals a crisp, crackery malt and light rice sweetness. The finish is very dry and snappy, featuring a subtle herbal bitterness from the Jasmine Green Tea. Hop bitterness is low to moderate and well-balanced by the fruit acidity.

Mouthfeel. Light body with high carbonation, creating a prickly carbonic bite. Negligible alcohol warmth at 4.7% ABV. Extremely refreshing and clean with no perceived astringency from the tea addition.
