Catleidoscope 5 is a vibrant Hazy IPA that leverages an intensive grist of Extra pale, Malted oats, Flaked oats, and Wheat malt to create a luscious, soft foundation. The sensory experience is dominated by the massive dry-hop addition of Citra Lupomax and Simcoe T90, which burst with concentrated notes of pink grapefruit, passion fruit, and a distinctively dank, resinous complexity. London Ale III yeast contributes supportive stone fruit esters, melding seamlessly with the tropical hop profile. This 8% brew balances high-intensity juice character against a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel and a restrained, integrated bitterness that invites continued exploration of its multi-layered hop depth.

Appearance. Deep straw to light gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque haze with a luminous shine. Thick, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and dense lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of mango, grapefruit, and ripe pineapple from the Citra hops, paired with a pungent, resinous, and slightly musky dankness from the Simcoe. Background notes of bready, grainy malt and subtle pear-like yeast esters. No caramel or toast character.

Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit and citrus oils. Mid-palate reveals soft, bready malt sweetness. Hop flavor is very high, mirroring the aroma with layers of passion fruit and pine. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low-medium due to the soft water profile and full body. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering juicy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, pillowy texture from the heavy use of flaked grains. Moderate carbonation. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. No harshness, astringency, or hop burn.
