This New Zealand Pilsner is a vibrant showcase of southern hemisphere terroir, presenting a brilliant yellow-gold pour. The sensory profile is defined by the expressive use of Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin hops, which deliver a pungent bouquet of passion fruit, crushed gooseberry, and zesty lime. A restrained, crackery malt base provides a soft, bready foundation that supports the intense hop character without competing for attention. Cleanly fermented and elegantly balanced, the experience concludes with a smooth, dry finish and a gentle, grassy bitterness, reminiscent of a crisp Sauvignon Blanc but with the refreshing drinkability of a premium lager.
Appearance. Pale yellow-gold (3 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Medium-high intensity hop aroma showcasing tropical fruit, white grape, and gooseberry. Low crackery malt support with a clean, neutral fermentation profile and a very light hint of fresh grass.
Taste. Leading with high hop flavors of lime, melon, and passion fruit. A medium-low grainy-sweet malt flavor provides balance. Bitterness is medium-high but remains clean and smooth, never harsh. The finish is dry to off-dry with a lingering, pleasant citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation. The texture is notably smooth and refreshing, lacking any alcohol warmth or astringency.
