Haacht Primus presents as a quintessential German Pils, pouring a brilliant gold with a persistent, creamy white head. The sensory journey begins with a clean, moderate aroma of floral and herbal hops, layered over a subtle backdrop of grainy, cracker-like malt. On the palate, a brief initial sweetness from the Pilsner malt is rapidly superseded by a firm, crisp bitterness. The finish is remarkably dry and refreshing, accented by a light minerality that cleanses the tongue. This lager balances tradition and drinkability, offering a focused hop profile and a light, effervescent mouthfeel that defines the style's refreshing character.

Appearance. Brilliant gold (3-4 SRM) with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head and excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring floral and spicy hop character. Underlying low grainy-sweet malt presence with hints of fresh dough and toasted cracker. Exceptionally clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial soft grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a prominent herbal and spicy hop flavor. Medium-high bitterness provides a crisp counterpoint, leading into a very dry, clean finish. The aftertaste is briefly lingering with dry, herbal hop notes.
