This Double IPA presents a vivid sensory spectrum, led by a saturated hop profile from the use of Eclipse, Enigma, and Talus. The aroma is an intense rush of sweet mandarin and zesty grapefruit, layered with nuanced notes of white grape and dried rose petals. On the palate, the resinous pine and sage from Talus meet the red currant fruitiness of Enigma, all supported by a clean, unobtrusive malt base. A firm, lingering bitterness defines the experience, staying crisp and dry despite the 8.2% strength. It is a modern, aromatic powerhouse that balances complex tropical fruit layers with the assertive, bitter punch expected of the style.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7-8 SRM). Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with good lacing. Modern clarity with a slight, acceptable haze from heavy dry-hopping.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring dominant mandarin, grapefruit, and stone fruit. Nuanced esters of raspberry and white grape are present, alongside a subtle floral rose-like quality. Background malt is clean and neutral with a light cracker-like aroma and no diacetyl.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors mirroring the aroma, particularly citrus rind and resinous pine. The bitterness is high but smooth, providing a firm counterpoint to the soft, grainy malt. Features a dry finish with a lingering hoppy and resinously bitter aftertaste. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. A light, clean, and restrained alcohol warmth is present, enhancing the perceived strength without being solventy or harsh.
