Appearance. SRM 40+; jet black and completely opaque. Features a deep tan to brown head with low retention and oily lacing, showing visible legs on the glass due to high viscosity and alcohol.
Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of Jamaican rum, molasses, and vanilla. Pronounced aromas of ripe banana and toasted coconut dominate, supported by a base of dark chocolate, espresso, and black licorice. Very low hop character.
Taste. Intense initial impression of sweet banana and creamy coconut. The malt profile provides deep layers of dark chocolate, cocoa, and roasted grain. Moderate to high bitterness balances the heavy residual sweetness. The finish is long and spirit-forward with lingering rum spice, oak vanillin, and a pleasant vinous quality.
