This Hazy IPA, a collaborative effort between Funky Fluid and Radical Way Brewing, presents a masterclass in tropical saturation. The double dry hopping process utilizes Citra, Idaho Gem, and El Dorado varieties to build a complex, juicy profile. Expect a vibrant sensory experience where Citra provides bright citrus layers, while Idaho Gem and El Dorado contribute lush notes of stone fruit and pineapple. The 6.8% ABV provides a structured backbone without overwhelming the palate, allowing the hop-derived esters and bready malt character to shine through. This beer perfectly embodies the New England style with its soft, pillowy texture and a focused emphasis on fruit-forward hop aromatics.

Appearance. Straw to deep gold with a persistent, meringue-like white head that leaves significant lacing. Exhibits a characteristic opaque, luminous haze without any visible particulates or sediment.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics lead with a massive bouquet of tropical and stone fruits. Pronounced notes of grapefruit and lime from Citra mingle with the pineapple and candy-like sweetness of El Dorado. Idaho Gem adds a unique layer of sweet cherry and red berries. A light, bready malt presence sits quietly in the background, complemented by clean fermentation esters.

Taste. The palate is dominated by high-impact fruit flavors mirroring the aroma: sweet mango, crushed pineapple, and bright citrus zest. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, cereal-like base that lets the Idaho Gem and El Dorado hops take center stage. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft finish, and is never harsh. The finish is clean and off-dry with a lingering tropical aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel that lacks any harshness or astringency. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth delivery. A very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
