A refreshing collaboration between Funky Fluid and Brew York, this Session New England IPA celebrates the game with a vibrant, hop-forward profile. Despite its sessionable strength, it delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a trio of powerful hops. Mosaic provides a complex foundation of blueberry and tropical fruit, while Azacca layers in ripe mango and stone fruit notes. The addition of Talus Cryo introduces a distinctive signature of pink grapefruit, dried rose petals, and a hint of herbal sage. This pale gold ale balances a soft, bready malt backbone with a clean, dryish finish that keeps the focus entirely on its bright, modern hop character.
Appearance. SRM 5. Medium gold with a noticeable, soft haze. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of tropical mango, pineapple, and blueberry from Mosaic and Azacca. Talus Cryo adds specific nuances of pink grapefruit and floral citrus. Low, clean, bready malt sweetness supports the fruit-heavy presentation with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and stone fruits, including mango and peach. Mosaic provides mid-palate berry depth, while Talus Cryo contributes a pithy grapefruit bitterness. Low grainy malt flavor provides a light foundation. Bitterness is moderate and well-integrated. The finish is dry, clean, and highlights a lingering hoppy aftertaste of citrus peel.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture typical of the New England influence. Moderate to medium-high carbonation provides a crisp lift without any harshness. Negligible alcohol warmth.
