This Imperial Stout delivers a decadent sensory experience shaped by twenty-four months in bourbon barrels. The aroma is a rich tapestry of hand-roasted pecans and intense cocoa nibs, supported by the distinct, earthy sweetness of maple syrup. On the palate, the massive 30 Plato gravity translates into a viscous, chewy texture featuring layers of dark chocolate, toasted nuts, and vanilla-soaked oak. The extended aging has elegantly integrated the 13% alcohol, resulting in a smooth, warming finish. It is a complex, dessert-forward beer where charred barrel notes and deep roasted malts perfectly frame the sweet, nutty adjuncts.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). It pours with a thick, persistent deep tan head that leaves heavy lacing. High viscosity is evident through noticeable legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by hand-roasted pecans and rich cocoa nibs, layered over bourbon-induced vanilla and oak. A significant maple syrup sweetness is present, alongside deep roasted malt notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Subtle dark fruit esters of raisins and prunes are secondary to the intense barrel and adjunct character.

Taste. Intensely rich and sweet initial impression. Deep layers of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and hand-roasted pecans lead the flavor profile. The bourbon barrel aging contributes distinct vanilla, caramel, and charred oak notes. Maple syrup provides a lingering, earthy sweetness that balances a firm roasted bitterness. The finish is long and warming, with the cocoa nibs providing a slightly bittersweet, velvety aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a luscious, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A significant but smooth and well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, consistent with the high gravity and strength.
